Frank Richter (born 1945) is one of the best-known photographers in Saxony and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. For many years he accompanied the Hohnstein climber Bernd Arnold, armed with his camera. From 1991 until his retirement in 2007, he was head of public relations in the Saxon Switzerland National Park. He published a number of illustrated books on the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, Saxony and Dresden and lectured extensively. In recent years he has been heavily involved in the artistic representation of Saxon Switzerland.
