Born in Bovenau, Northern Germany in 1953, Ingo Kühl studied Architecture and Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Berlin. Travels in Europe, Israel, Iran. 1982 – Studio in New York. 1995 – “Artist in Residence” at the Centro Cultural São Lourenço, Algarve. 1995/96 – Picture cycle “Winterreise”. 1999 – Trip to the Baltic and Scandinavia, studio on the Lofoten. 2000 – Trip around the world: Thailand, Laos, New Zealand, South Pacific, Peru. 2001-2002 – Year-long sojourn in the South Pacific: Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Fiji, Vanuatu. 2005 – Trip to Santiago, Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego. Picture cycle “Paisajes del fin del mundo”. 2009 – Cape Horn circumnavigation – Trip to Cambodia: Temple of Angor Wat. 2010 – Sojourn in Papua New Guinea. 2012 – Second sojourn in Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.
