Turkish artist Tülay Sözbir-Seidel was born in 1972. She completed an industrial design degree at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara. She subsequently worked as a product designer in furniture and ceramics, and later as a senior designer for a glassware manufacturer. She has also worked as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator for publishers. Tülay has lived in Hamburg since 1999, where she works primarily in oils.
